Mulching

Mulching

Most people think of mulch as just a nice aesthetic touch to their home or property. While that is definitely true, it also provides many other important benefits, including:

  • Increasing property value - Create a more attractive appearance.

  • Retains moisture - Help your plants and shrubs survive a drought by reducing your need to water plants.

  • Retards weeds - By keeping your flower and garden beds covered with mulch, you'll add an insulating layer to help keep roots cool and shaded which better controls weeds (and those pesky grasses) that love hot, dry weather.

  • Provides nutrients - Improve the quality of your soil by breaking up clay and allowing better water and air movement through the soil.

  • Controls erosion - Provide nutrients to sandy soil and improves its ability to hold water.

  • Insulates the soil - Protect plants from extreme temperature variations.
